I’m not confident if I obtained ripped off or not. I bought a getaway package for $ 250 with the understanding that I would be obligated to listed to a time discuss “orientation”. The vacation is for five nights Orlando, two nights Daytona and a two night Cruise to the Bahamas. Has anybody been on one particular of these holidays? Are they for genuine? I certain hope so!

bogus. the timeshare presentation will be a tough promote and they will hound you. the ‘cruise’ will be on an outdated ferry staying in a 1 star hotel.

That’s a bit on the expensive side.
I pay ~$ 100 for the weekend, so maybe it’s not bad. But, the suposed cruse… you send a near $ 100 deposit & give htem 3 dates you want to go. They aren’t going to be available (unless it’s really off season!) The deposit is non refundable, so unless you wnat to go in the off-off-off season…. throw the coupon for the cruse away
I fell for one of those once. They give you the choice of about 3 hotels to stay in, all of which are in seedy areas, and you have to pay something up front, which they say is refundable. I never took advantage of my “prizes” because of that.
Remember the adage: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Rip-off deals.

It depends. If you are looking for a cheap vacation and have a constitution of iron to help you sit through some of the high pressure sales tactics that may be used on you then YES it can be a good deal. But if you fold under pressure, can’t take the pressure or just hate stringing people along ( Remember, this is a vacation to you but sales pitch to them) then the answer is NO.
It also pays to read the fine print on the offer. I had a friend who went on one of these trips and as soon as he told the salesman ” I’m not buying anything / I’m just here for the cheap vacation” He and his family were moved out of the Top notch accommodations to some Motel that was near the beach but not even close to being on it. I’ve also heard stories of people who did not go to the sales meeting (they sometimes give them different names) and were presented with a bill for the stay since the low rate they were given was based on giving them a chance to sell you something.
If it is an unknown fly-by-night outfit then don’t bother. There are too many big names in this game that won’t screw you around.
It can be either one. You will have to look into the company and perhaps find someone that has dealt with them personally.
